The 6LoWPAN defines the IP-USN Router(6LoWPAN Gateway) which is in charge of linking an internet network and a sensor network. When, after the IP-USN Router delivers information of the Subnet(Prefix) which Sensor Nodes control to them, each Sensor Node would communicate with outer network(internet), it sends packet to the IP-USN by using such Router information and the IP-USN Router to receive it plays a role convert into a packet to recognize in the internet network in the Adaptation class and send it.

The IP-USN Router, in order to reduce smooth operation and load, implements only a role to determine a pathway to deliver a packet in the IP class and deliver it and implements a matching function between an internet network and a sensor network so that a Peer-to-Peer communication can be made even to the gadget like sensor node.

The IP-USN Router of iBIT is an essential equipment of the USN network to implement a Routing function between the IPv6 USN node and common IPv6 host seamlessly through the IP-USN PAN and the IPv6 protocol based on the 6LoWPAN over IEEE 802.15.4 and provide convenience of the IPv6 from a control server to a USN terminal node with unified protocol.
